Our mission is to evangelize the world for Jesus Christ, equip believers to become true disciples of Christ, and engage social problems that challenge the communities we have been called to serve. The Apostolic Faith is built on a set of doctrines believed in and practiced by 12 disciples of Jesus Christ as founded in the the New Testament. It includes such beliefs and doctrines as: - The infallibility of the Bible - The oneness of Jehovah God of the Old Testament, who is Jesus Christ of the New Testament - Water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:4) - Living a Holy life - The rapture of the church and the second coming of Jesus Christ. On behalf of the Fisherman of Men Church we are happy for this opportunity to introduce our church family to you and establish communications with friends all over the world. We look to provide you with positive and worthwhile resources as a testimony to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is our hope that you will be inspired and blessed by the material we have presented. Whenever you are in the Washington, DC area we invite you to be our special guest when we gather for worship.
Centrally located, we serve our international community through services for families, women, men, the incarcerated, youth and senior citizens.
Fisherman of Men is committed to impacting lives of people by sharing and showing the love of Christ to all mankind. These core values define our beliefs and guide us to fulfill the vision! We believe: - The Holy Bible is true and infallible. - The oneness of the God, and that Jehovah God in the Old Testament is Jesus Christ in the New Testament. - Water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:4) - Living a Holy life - The rapture of the church and the second coming of Jesus Christ. This includes:-Working hard to meet the spiritual, physical, mental and emotional needs of those we minister to-Enhancing the spiritual potential of every person, thereby reaffirming their God-given uniqueness.-Expecting excellence in all ministries that God calls us to pursue, rejecting mediocrity at every level. We believe in envisioning and pursuing what can be and should be, rather than settling for what has been and is.
